McKenzie wins play of week award

Interception return against Bears tops Colts' big play.

Cornerback Mike McKenzie's 90-yard interception-return touchdown this past Sunday against the Bears was voted the Week 14 NFL Play of the Week. McKenzie's play beat out Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Marvin Harrison's diving one-handed 42-yard reception from Peyton Manning against the Tennessee Titans in this week's voting.

With the Packers leading 19-14, McKenzie intercepted his second pass of the afternoon and returned it 90 yards for a touchdown to put the game out of reach. McKenzie's defensive efforts helped the Packers defeat the Bears 34-21 and stay within a game of the NFC North-leading Vikings. McKenzie is the first Packer to be nominated and win the NFL Play of the Week.

McKenzie's interception-return touchdown is now eligible to be selected as the NFL Play of the Year, presented by Levitra, to be awarded this February at Super Bowl XXXVIII in Houston, Texas.
