NFL Europe Week 3

Packer players were back in action Saturday and Sunday as NFL Europe's Week 3 is in the books.<p>

Shockmain Davis' Rhein Fire suffered their first defeat of the season, falling to Frankfurt 28-10 Saturday, but the Packer wide receiver continued to be a contributor with four kick returns for 54 yards and two catches for nine yards.

On the winning side, Packer tackle Jason Jimenez helped Frankfurt's 100-yard plus rushing effort as the Galaxy more than doubled the Fire's ground total. The Fire remains unbeaten at 3-0.

Derek Combs, Amsterdam's leading tackler a week ago, had two solo tackles and two special teams tackles as the Admirals finally got into the win column with a 3-0 defense-dominated win over the Scottish Claymores (0-3) Sunday. The only scoring came on a field goal in the final minute of the first quarter.

The Cologne Centurions, who have a trio of Packers on the roster, came up just shy in their bid for their first win of the season. Cologne fell to the undefeated Berlin Thunder 35-31 Sunday. Defensive end Eric Powell had five tackles and broke up a pass, defensive end Cullen Jenkins chipped in four tackles and cornerback Erwin Swiney had two tackles and also broke up a pass.

Next week features the battle of the unbeatens as the Fire host Berlin Saturday evening. The Claymores take on Cologne Saturday, while Frankfurt plays at Amsterdam Sunday afternoon.
