Roster move

The Green Bay Packers Monday signed non-drafted free agent linebacker Jermaine Taylor and released free agent linebacker Dave Moretti.<p>

Taylor, who participated in last week's post-draft mini-camp on a tryout basis, earned Division III All-America and Old Dominion Athletic Conference Defensive 'Player of the Year' honors last season at Bridgewater (Va.) College. In 10 regular-season games, he led the conference with 99 tackles and helped the Eagles advance to the national semifinals, where they lost to powerhouse Mt. Union. The 5-foot-10, 220-pound linebacker also garnered first-team All-America honors in 2002.

Taylor recently won the 100-meter dash at the ODAC track championships, with a time of 11.05 seconds.

Linebacker Dave Moretti, originally signed Jan. 27 by the Packers, was released.
