Packers part of big week in NFL Europe

A pair of Packers provided the pyrotechnics in the Amsterdam Admirals vs. Rhein Fire clash Sunday, while the Cologne Centurians, with three Packer allocations starting on defense, had the victory of the weekend as they knocked off previously unbeaten Berlin Thunder all in NFL Europe Week 6 action.<p>

In the Fire's victory, Packer wide receiver Shockmain Davis caught a 48-yard touchdown pass from Chad Hutchinson (Dallas Cowboys) on the Fire's first drive. Davis caught the short pass in traffic, then wove through the defense for the TD.

Derek Combs helped Amsterdam fire back. He returned the ensuing kickoff 63 yards to the Fire 26-yard line.

The Fire (5-1) prevailed 20-13 as Davis finished with three catches for 71 yards. He also returned two kicks for 44 yards.

For the Admirals, Combs had a bid day with five kickoff returns for 121 yards, six tackles, a forced fumble and a broken pass. GB tight end Tony Donald added four catches for 31 yards.

In Cologne's last –second, 28-27 win, defensive end Eric Powell and cornerback Erwin Swiney each broke up a pass and chipped in a tackle, while DT Cullen Jenkins also had one tackle for Cologne (2-4).

Next weekend, it's the battle of the Packer allocations as Cologne travels to Amsterdam Saturday. Berlin hosts the Rhein Fire in a Sunday game between the league leaders, and Frankfurt plays Scotland at Glasgow in another Sunday game.
