Roster move: Packers sign defensive end

As is typical for this time of year, the Green Bay Packers made a roster move Monday, signing defensive end Seante Williams.

Pronounced shawn-TAY, Williams was available in the Supplemental Draft but was not selected, thus making him a free agent.

The 6-foot-6, 242-pounder played at three colleges. He spent his first two years at Coffeyville (Kan.) Community College before spending his junior season at Southern Mississippi. From there, he landed at Jacksonville State, where he posted 14 tackles and 2.5 sacks last season.

He will wear the green (defensive) No. 73 jersey.
