Favre Named Miller Lite Player of Week

Green Bay Packers' quarterback Brett Favre has been named the Miller Lite NFL Player of the Week for Week Twelve following his performance against the Jacksonville Jaguars this past Monday night in Jacksonville.

Favre completed 24 passes in 42 attempts for a season-high 362 yards and three touchdowns, as the Packers leaped past the Jaguars 28-21 to remain one game behind Chicago for the NFC Central lead.

Each week, a player from each of the 31 teams is nominated by the team or local media, and one winner is ultimately selected by a national panel of veteran NFL media representatives coordinated by the Pro Football Hall of Fame. At the conclusion of the regular season, six Miller Lite NFL Player of the Year candidates will be chosen from among the weekly nominees. A committee of media representatives from each NFL market will then select the Miller Lite NFL Player of the Year from the six finalists.
