Roster moves

The Packers re-signed linebacker Nick Rogers and waived cornerback James Whitley in roster moves Tuesday, the team announced.<P>

Rogers had been waived only three days ago when the team promoted WR Kelvin Kight from the practice squad due to Robert Ferguson's ankle injury.

Whitley was originally signed as a free agent Dec. 10, 2003. He was pressed into action in the Titans' contest after a rash of injuriees depleted the secondary.

In more practice squad transactions, the team released Kelvin Millhouse from the squad added safeties Wendell Williams and David Young.

Williams (6-1, 215-pounds) signed as a non-drafted free agent out of Louisiana-Lafayette by Cincinnati May 3, and was waived by the Bengals Aug. 30.

Young (6-2, 224-pounds)signed as a non-drafted free agent with Jacksonville April 27, 2003, and appeared on the Jaguars' opening day 53-man roster, before the club waived him Sept. 8, 2003. The Georgia Southern product also spent time in Cleveland and the N.Y. Jets.
