LAST MEETING: Doug Pederson earned his paycheck when the Green Bay Packers beat the Washington Redsksins 30-9 on Oct. 20, 2002.

Brett Favre was knocked from the game in the third quarter with a knee injury coming on a hit by Redskins linebacker LaVar Arrington. By the end of the third quarter, Washington had whittled Green Bay's lead to 17-9.

In the fourth quarter, Green Bay outscored the Redskins 13-0 to put the game on ice. The first points came on a Ryan Longwell field goal, then, about 2 minutes later, Ahman Green scored his third touchdown of the night, an 8-yard dash following a fumble-causing sack by Green Bay, one of six takedowns by the Packers' defense.

Green rushed for 88 yards on 24 rushes, with his other touchdowns coming from 24 and 2 yards. Favre completed 11 of 14 passes for 89 yards before being sidelined, and Pederson filled in by going 9 for 15 for 78 yards. The win ran Green Bay's record to 6-1.
