Honors rolling in for Favre

Quarterback Brett Favre was named the Monday Night Football Snickers Hungriest Player for Week 12.<p>

Favre earned the honors, which are voted on by the ABC broadcast team, for his role in the Packers' 45-17 win over the St. Louis Rams at Lambeau Field Monday. Favre recorded his 200th consecutive start, 132nd career win, 35th straight game with a touchdown pass and broke Dan Marino's record for consecutive 20-plus touchdown seasons.

The performance was all in a days work for Favre, who was named the "Hungriest Player" for his performance vs. Oakland last year when he threw four touchdown passes in an emotional 41-7 win at Oakland. Favre later was named 2003 "Hungriest Player of the Year" for that game.

A donation of $1,000 has been made in Favre's name to a local charity of his choice.

With his seven-yard TD to Bubba Franks in the second quarter, Favre topped 20 TDs for the 11th straight season, breaking the mark he shared with Dan Marino. He also added two more TD passes with throws to Javon Walker and Donald Driver, and finished the night 18-27 passing for 215 yards earning his second SNICKERS® HUNGRIEST PLAYER™ selection. Favre was the SNICKERS® HUNGRIEST PLAYER™ in last year's Monday Night finale when he threw four TD's in a 41-7 win over the Raiders. That performance subsequently earned Brett "2003 SNICKERS® HUNGRIEST PLAYER™ OF THE YEAR" honors in an on-line vote by the fans.
