He's too young to be a member of the advertising-created Pepsi Generation, but rookie first-round pick Ahmad Carroll is up for Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Week honors.
The cornerback returned a fumble 40 yards for a touchdown to start the Packers on their way to their 45-17 stomping of St. Louis on Monday night. In the third quarter, with the Packers ahead 21-10 but the Rams driving, Carroll recorded his first career interception by making a leaping grab in the end zone.
The other nominees are wide receivers Lee Evans of Buffalo and Keary Colbert of Carolina, running back Julius Jones of Dallas, defensive end Kenechi Udeze of Minnesota and linebacker Derrick Pope of Miami.
The winner is based on fan voting on NFL.com. Voting continues until 11 a.m. Thursday.
