Packers bring back Josue

The Packers filled the roster spot created with Wednesday's release of running back James Jackson by bringing back linebacker Steve Josue.

Josue was a seventh-round pick by the Packers in 2003. He didn't make the final roster but wound up on the practice squad, then had a successful summer in NFL Europe. Josue was back in training camp this year but was released in the final wave of cuts.

He spent time with the practice squads in Washington and then San Francisco. He had been with the 49ers' practice squad for the last five weeks when the Packers grabbed him for their regular roster.
