Diggs out for Sunday

Linebacker Na'il Diggs has been downgraded from doubtful to out for Sunday's game vs. the Detroit Lions at Lambeau Field, the team announced.<P>

A bruised kidney has kept Diggs out of practice all week. He was hospitalized after sustaining the injury during last week's 47-17 loss at Philadelphia.

Diggs' stretch for 62 consecutive regular season starts, dating back to his rookie season of 2000, will be snapped by the injury.

Paris Lenon will start in place of Diggs at weak-side linebacker, coach Micke sherman said.

Sherman said that Diggs may be available for the Packers' Dec. 19 home finale vs. Jacksonville.
