Win the division? Yeah, right. The only reason they might win the division is because the Vikings are stumbling (as usual) down the stretch. I should have expected as much when the Pack went 1-4 to start the season, but I, like everyone else, got caught up in the 6-game winning streak. I'm a diehard Packer fan and have been since 1963. I will not abandon them, no matter how miserable the record or how bleak the future may look. I wish them the best and hope that they can and will bounce back to win their last 2 games, and maybe by the grace of the football gods go on to the big show. If not, well there is always next year. GO PACK!

Another frustrating day in the Frozen Tundra. Since the arrival of Mike Sherman, the Lambeau mystique is long gone, and now the cold weather advantage has vanished too. Visions of Mike Vick and the Atlanta Falcons danced in our heads on Sunday. These last three games were our stretch, the team was healthy, etc. Instead, a team from Florida came to Lambeau and played as though it was sunny and 70! The Packers played as though they were visitors (5 turnovers) and no discipline (over 80 yards of penalties), giving up multiple sacks, and very poor play calling. The one that comes to mind is 1st and 10 inside the Jacksonville 5. We have 3 downs to run it in. However, Sherman/Rossley maybe that QB genius Darrell Bevell (Brett was winning MVP's when Bevel was in college and now Sherman has made him Brett's coach. A far cry from Andy Reid and "Mooch".) who knows who called that ridiculous pass play! Good grief. Sherman and Rossley have put such tight restraints on Favre he doesn't even audible. Bob Harlan, Mike Sherman and Rossley should be hiding in disgrace as to how they have handled a man that is perhaps the greatest QB of all time. Oh, I know I am being hard and Mike and his crew, hell they're in the playoffs. I don't get the post-game show with Wayne Larivee and Larry McCarren along with Sherman's postgame comments. Let me guess, did he say "Adjustments have to be made." I hope he wasn't that insulting again. If Bob Harlan can't see Mike Sherman's inability to be both head coach and GM, then heaven help us. What was Harlan thinking when he rewarded Sherman with the GM position? He hadn't even gotten his "sea legs" so to speak as head coach! Monday will come and go, Sherman and Harlan will be locked down in their NEW luxury offices, paid for by the working men and women of the Great State of Wisconsin and not a word will be said. No explanation as to how it's going to be fixed, etc. Come February, after we have long exited the playoffs, I can only hope that three desks will be empty, those of Sherman, Rossley and Slowik. Mike Holmgren won't you please come home! Mike Fosso, East Coast Packer Backer, Wisconsinite Forever! P.S. – Thank goodness Mike Sherman got rid of Ed Donatell! Slowik's defensive plan is doing such a wonderful job defending the run.
Did Mike Sherman take a page out of John Maddens play book? When he (Madden) was head coach of the Oakland Raiders, he had a QB (Daryl Lamonica) who was nick named the MAD BOMBER because every other play was a long pass down field. Madden, like Sherman, called the offensive plays. I watched yesterdays game in complete dsgust. Forty four passes and twenty one runs. Five turnovers and 12 penalties. Besides that, I think it is time to start Craig Nall.

I want to wish all the players coaches and families of the team a great holiday. I know that being a player or coach must be tough on your families when you have games for example on Christmas Eve. You can also add to this the pressure of making an impact in the playoffs. My best wishes to Robert after one of the cheapest shots that I have seen in a long time. This ranks up there with the cheap shot that Sapp gave Clifton not long ago. I was proud to see our fans not throw things at this creep- boy it would have been great to steal a win in this game to pay him back.
Congratulations on getting into the playoffs. All I am wishing for is your best effort because I know you guys can go far if you just get your act together. You moved the ball well between the 20's against a good defense in Jacksonville. Captilization in the red zone was less than stellar- but live and learn. Penalties are something you need to each hold yourself accountable for. Ahman- two hands, super glue, duct tape, anything you can find to hang on. I know you take some tremendous shots that I personally would just hand the ball over to the defense with but come on. There were many upsides to the game: Sharper had his head in the game to get the ball and score on the forced fumble. I was smiling at the sight of the defense putting the QB on his backside frequently. The receivers caught the ball well on a very cold day. The OL gave some good protection. My son will be available for long snapping in about 18 years and I am available for punting right now. Give me a call and I will suit up and play tomorrow. Happy holidays.

Packer Report, AS GENERAL MANAGER MIKE SHERMAN,SHOULD FIRE THE COACH AND THAN RESIGN AS GENERAL MANAGER. AFTER FIVE YEARS OF DOING THE DRAFTING AND COACHING, THE TEAM KEEPS SLIDING BACKWARDS.
ANOTHER POINT I WOULD LIKE TO MAKE. WHERE WERE BRETT'S TEAMMATES WHEN HE GOT HIT BY SHAUN ROGERS OF DETROIT, AFTER THE WHISTLE, ON AN UNABATED TO THE QUARTERBACK PENALTY? FOR THAT MATTER, WHY DIDN'T ANY OFFENSIVE PLAYERS ON THE FIELD SEEK RETRIBUTION,WHEN ROBERT FERGUSON GOT "CLOTHES LINED" BY JACKSONVILLE'S DONOVIN DARIUS.
I GIVE MIKE SHERMAN CREDIT FOR ONE THING: WHEN WARREN SAPP HIT CHAD CLIFTON A FEW YEARS AGO, HE WAS THE ONLY ONE TO STEP FORWARD AND CHALLENGE SAPP.
IN CLOSING I WOULD LIKE TO SAY THAT AS LONG AS THEY ACT AND PLAY LIKE A BUNCH OF WUSSES, AND LET THEMSELVES GET ABUSED AND PUSHED AROUND,THE NEXT SUPER BOWL IS A LONG WAY DOWN THE ROAD.

It still is a bit surprizing to me to to see how sloppy this team can look when they know what their areas of concern are and target to improve them. 101 yds in penalties is tough to over come not to mention all the turnovers. Inspite of all their blunders, they still had a chance at the end, albeit not a very good one. We know the defense has issues, and quite honestly, yesterday the whole team lacked spirit and confidence. Coming into this time of the year you would hope to show some fire and sure up any difficiencies. Does this team need tweaking, or does it need a major overhaul ? They can't get up for games they should get up for, and they can't seem to make necessary adjustments to improve their chances. This is Sherman's 5th straight year as head coach, the team has the same look as it did back then, and our hero is at the twilight of his carrer. As Packer fans, we love to stick up for our heroes and look for potential new ones each year. I think this organization is at the cross roads right now and maybe has to make some drastic changes to continue to move forward. Obviously Ed Donatell is enjoying a better season this year with the Falcons. I love this team, I love the fans, and all the history, good and bad, but I think we are looking at another terrible slide if changes aren't made to fire this team up! GO PACKERS!
