Super Bowl ticket chances mailed today

The Green Bay Packers Monday mailed notices to season ticket holders whose names were drawn in the Super Bowl lottery Dec. 30. Those season ticket accounts randomly selected are eligible to purchase two tickets to Super Bowl XXXIX for $500 each in the event that the Packers advance to the league championship game, set for Feb. 6 at ALLTEL STadium in Jacksonville, Fla.

The team makes the bulk of its ticket allotment available to its season ticket holders, Packers preident Bob Harlan said. The number of available tickets is confidential, the team said.

"Our season ticket holders repeatedly have demonstrated their loyalty with annual season-ticket sellouts in Lambeau Field since 1960, and because of that we want to make sure Super Bowl tickets are available to as many of them as possible," Harlan said in a team release.

Each account including the Green package, Gold package, and club seats, had an equal chance in the drawing, regardless of number of tickets on the account or cost level of the regular-season seats.

The drawing was conducted Thursday, Dec. 30, 2004, and monitored by the Green Bay accounting firm of Wipfli, LLP. Notification was sent to winners Monday, Jan. 3.
