Under repair

Defensive end Jamal Reynolds underwent arthroscopic knee surgery late in January and linebacker Nate Wayne will undergo a similar surgery today.<p>

Reynolds, the 10th overall selection by the Green Bay Packers last April, played with the sore knee for most of the season. He hyperextended his left knee during training camp last August and missed the final three preseason games.

The Packers reportedly were aware of Reynolds' injury during the season. He played in the team's final eight games after it was determined that playing would not cause further damage. "It was bothering him during the season," Sherman told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. "It wasn't going to get any worse so we waited until the end of the season to do it. There was some flaking. Things went perfectly well."

Linebacker Nate Wayne was expected to undergo arthroscopic knee surgery today to relieve patellar tendinitis.

Full recoveries are expected for both Reynolds and Wayne.
