McBrien continued to rotate with QB Andy Hall, who was allocated by the Philadelphia Eagles. On Saturday McBrien played in the third and fourth quarters instead of second and fourth quarters as in Week 1 and Week 2. With the Fire trailing 31-0 at halftime, McBrien led the Fire on three touchdown drives and 24 second-half points. The lefty completed 16 of 27 passes for 325 yards, two touchdowns with two interceptions. He finished with a 95.4 passer rating and led the Fire in rushing with 49 yards on two attempts, including a 43-yard touchdown run, Rhein's first score of the game in the third quarter.

Sander averaged 38.5 yards on four punts. His longest boot of the day was 41 yards. He also had one touchback and one punt that fell inside the Rhein Fire's 20 yard line.
