Trade: What Rams did with picks

Here is what the Los Angeles Rams did with the five draft picks it received from the Green Bay Packers for quarterback John Hadl on Oct. 22, 1974:

1. (9th overall) Mike Fanning, DT, Notre Dame
Fanning played for the Rams from 1975-82. He made no Pro Bowl appearances. He finished his career with the Detroit Lions in 1983 and the Seattle Seahawks in '84.
2. (28th overall) Monte Jackson, DB, San Diego State
The Packers received this pick from the Baltimore Colts for linebacker Tom McLeod and then sent it to Los Angeles in the Hadl trade. Jackson played for the Rams from 1975-77, earning All-Pro honors in 1976 and '77. He went on to play for the Oakland/Los Angeles Rams from 1978-83, finishing his career with 23 interceptions.
3. (61st overall) Geoff Reece, C, Washington State
Reece played for the Rams in 1976 and then appeared in three games for the Seattle Seahawks in 1977.

1. (8th overall) The Rams traded this pick to the Detroit Lions for wide receiver Ron Jessie. The Lions then traded it to the Chicago Bears for first- and third-round selections in the 1976 draft. With this pick, the Bears drafted All-American Wisconsin offensive tackle Dennis Lick, who had an injury-plaqued career before retiring in 1981.
2. (39th overall) Pat Thomas, DB, Texas A&M
Thomas played for the Rams from 1976-82, earning All-Pro honors in 1978 and '80. He finished with 26 interceptions.
