Memorabilia: Ashtrays

Green Bay Packers ashtrays are found in a variety of shapes and sizes.

Ashtrays from the 1930s and 1940s are not common finds. There were many ashtrays made in the 1960s. In 1961, an ashtray in the shape of Lambeau Field had a small removable player figurine at the top of it.

Some of the most popular ashtrays are the "Sneezer" ashtrays, featuring the players' and coaches' facsimile signatures from Sneezer's Snack Shop (they are round, green and gold, and were made from 1959-61).

The newspaper-headline ashtrays from the 1960s are also becoming valuable. Championship and Super Bowl ashtrays are in demand and escalating in price.

Make sure to check for chips, cracks, and wear that can detract from the value.

Here is a price range of ashtrays:

1920s (very rare) – $75 to $200
1930s – $50 to $150
1940s – $35 to $125
1950s – $25 to $100
1960s – $15 to $95
1970s – $8 to $50
1980s – $4 to $25
1990s – $2 to $20
