Six added to practice squad

Five of the players were in Packers' training camp

The Green Bay Packers today announced that six players were signed to their eight-man practice squad. Five of the players were in Green Bay's 2005 training camp, but released in the team's final cutdown to 53 players on Saturday.

The following players were added to the Packers' practice squad:
o WR/KR Craig Bragg (6-1, 195, rookie, UCLA)
o CB Patrick Dendy (6-0, 190, rookie, Rice)
o CB Therrian Fontenot (5-11, 187, rookie, Fresno State)
o FB Vonta Leach (6-0, 250, second year, East Carolina)
o WR Chad Lucas (6-1, 201, first year, Alabama State)
o LB Zac Woodfin (6-1, 234, rookie, Alabama-Birmingham)

Fontenot spent training camp in Buffalo after signing with the Bills as a non-drafted free agent. A former running back, he made the switch to cornerback after his sophomore year at Fresno State. The Lawndale, Calif., product had a pair of tackles vs. Green Bay in the Bills' preseason win, Aug. 20.

Practice squad players are paid $4,700 per week. They are free to sign with any NFL team as long as they are placed on the 53-man roster.
