RB added to practice squad

Harris was out of football in 2004

Running back Antoineo Harris was signed today to the Green Bay Packers' practice squad.

Harris, a 5-foot-10, 220-pound player out of Illinois, originally signed as a non-drafted free agent with the San Diego Chargers before the 2003 season. After spending the '03 campaign on the Chargers' injured reserve, Harris was out of football in 2004, then went to '05 training camp with the Chicago Bears.

The second-leading rusher in Illinois history after his senior season, Harris racked up 2,985 yards on 676 carries. He set the single-season school mark with 1,330 yards on the ground in 2002.

His first name is pronounced "an-TONE-ee-oh."

The Packers currently have six players on the eight-man practice squad.
