Scouting report

Here's TFY Preview Tony Pauline's report on wide receiver Jevon Walker of Florida State:<p>

STATS & BIO: Second team All-Conference selection as a senior after posting numbers of 45/944/21/7. Suffered with ankle problems as a junior but still totaled 20/313/15.6/3 in nine games.

Originally a junior college transfer.

Turned in a sensational workout at the Combine.

THE GOOD: Nice sized receiver that has consistently improved after coming out of the gate fast at FSU. Natural wide out that reads and recognizes the defense, finds the open spot in the field displaying great timing and anticipation of his receptions. Good eye/hand coordination, flexible and makes the difficult reception in contorted positions.

Gets up in a crowd, looks the ball in and shows soft hands. Flashes the ability to break itdownfield on occasion, getting separation from opponents.

THE BAD: Not a good route runner; lacks footwork, choppy in and out of his breaks and not quick, all which was evident during Senior Bowl week.

THE SKINNY: Played only two seasons of big time college football and showed well as a senior with erratic quarterback play at Florida State. Needs to refine the details of his position but a quality prospect for the future.
