Lee placed on injured reserve

Running back is fifth to be placed on list

ReShard Lee became the latest Packers running back to wind up on the season-ending injured reserve list. The Packers placed Lee, who has injured ribs, on the list today.

Lee had signed as a free agent with the Packers on Oct. 6. In seven games with one start, Lee had 11 carries for 16 yards and one reception for 5 yards. He led special teams in kickoff returns, averaging 21.3 yards on 15 kickoffs for 319 yards, but had a costly fumble last Sunday against the Philadelphia Eagles. Lee also posted seven coverage tackles.

Lee joins Ahman Green, Najeh Davenport, Walt Williams and Chaz Williams on injured reserve.

The Packers signed rookie Noah Herron from the Pittsburgh Steelers practice squad. Herron is expected to return kickoffs for the Packers this Sunday against the Chicago Bears at Soldier Field.
