Packers injury update

Franks, Thomas will return to practice this week

-- Tight end Bubba Franks, who sat out of Sunday's game against Detroit with neck and back injuries, will participate in practice this week, Packers coach Mike Sherman said today. He is listed as questionable.

-- Linebacker Robert Thomas, who also missed Sunday's game with a quadriceps injury, did some running today and Tuesday. Also listed as questionable, Thomas is expected to practice this week.

-- Center Mike Flanagan suffered somewhat of a setback from his sports hernia injury during Sunday night's game. Flanagan had the surgery in early October, but only missed two games while starting the last seven.

"It's always been sore," Sherman said. "It will be sore until he has time to rest it a little bit. He probably could go on every week as a 'probable.'" -- Linebacker Brady Poppinga is listed on Green Bay's injury report, but likely will be placed on injured reserve this week and be taken off the report. Poppinga suffered a season-ending ACL knee injury against the Lions Sunday night.
