Goodman continues to run strong

Running back Herbert Goodman gained 95 yards on 26 carries to lead the Scottish Claymores to a 17-7 victory over the Rhein Fire in NFL Europe Week 6 action on Sunday.<p>

Goodman rushed for 95 yards and added a team-high four receptions for 24 yards in the win played in Glasgow, Scotland. Detroit Lions quarterback Scott Dreisbach passed for 184 yards and two touchdowns in the victory.

Packers cornerback Hurley Tarver had four tackles for the Claymores (3-3).

Goodman, a third-year pro playing his first season in NFL-E, rushed for a season-high 105 yards in Week 5. He entered this past weekend as the league's third-leading rusher and now has 455 total yards rushing. Goodman has 44 receiving yards.

Here's how other players allocated by the Packers performed over the weekend: Linebacker Paris Lenon had three tackles for Amsterdam in its 21-19 loss ot the Galaxy in Frankfurt, Germany.

Guard Tim Stuber started for Barcelona (1-5), which dropped a 24-17 decision to the Berlin Thunder (3-3).

Offensive lineman Tim Stuber (F.C. Barcelona) and running back Joey Dozier (Frankfurt, 5-1) started this past weekend for their respective teams.

Offensive lineman Ed Kehl saw action with the Rhein Fire (4-2) in the loss to the Claymores.

Defensive tackle John Gilmore (Amsterdam, 2-4) was recently placed on injured reserve due to a hand injury.
