Former Packers such as Johnnie Gray, Randy Wright, Brian Noble, John Anderson, Gary Ellerson will assist camp coaches with instruction and experiences from their playing days.
Experts in fitness, nutrition and strength development will join the coaches to develop well-rounded athletes.
Packer Youth Football Camps are day camps for kids 6-14. All registered campers will receive a free tour of Lambeau Field/Packer Headquarters in the fall and some lucky campers will be able to see what it's like to be on Lambeau Field.
"Green Bay Packers Youth Football Camps are part of a larger youth initiative to support the thousands of coaches, parents and families already involved in youth football," said John Jones, Packers executive vice president and chief operating officer. "Camps are designed to encourage participation, while helping kids develop their football skills in a fun and highly interactive way."
Other camps will be held throughout Wisconsin at Green Bay, Hammond, Milwaukee, Madison, Sheboygan and Seymour.
A year ago, the Packers conducted their first youth football camp (July 16-20) - at a single site, Green Bay. It was so successful, the team decided to expand the opportunity to more areas of the state.
Both "Learn to Play" and "Dedicated" Camps are provided, so both beginners and experienced players will be appropriately instructed.
The schedule of events will feature passing and receiving skill development team play, 6-on-6 routes and coverages, and zone defense drills.
Registration will be limited to 80 campers per location. Call (866) 246-9800 for more information. The camps will cost from $200 to $225 per person and interested players can register - as space permits - up to the day of the event.
