Shareholder's meeting July 19

Site moves to Lambeau Field from Resch Center

The annual Packers stockholders' meeting will be held Wednesday, July 19, inside Lambeau Field, starting at 10 a.m. The event returns to the stadium, where it was held the first two years after the 1997-98 stock sale (1998, '99), because more than 5,000 stockholders were turned away from last year's meeting when the nearby Resch Center was deemed to have met its capacity.

For the first time, the Packers gave away free hot dogs and soda last year at a practice that was held inside Lambeau Field following the shareholder's meeting on a sunny day last July. The Resch Center was filled to capacity with more than 9,000 shareholders. The practice for rookie free agents and selected veterans drew more than 10,000 fans, many of whom walked across the street to the stadium.

After the 1998 and '99 meetings inside Lambeau Field, the annual meeting was held inside the Brown County Arena, then the Resch Center the last two years.

The Packers have been a publicly owned, non-profit organization since 1923. A total of 4,749,925 shares are owned by 111,921 stockholders.
