The Green Bay Packers signed second-year offensive lineman Reggie Nelson and released wide receiver Travis Williams today.<p>
The 6-3, 321-pound Nelson was selected in the fifth-round of the 1999 NFL draft (141st overall) by the San Diego Chargers. He also spent time with the Minnesota Vikings and Jacksonville Jaguars in 2000 and was out of football in 2001.
Prior to joining the Packers, he spent the recent 2002 NFL Europe League season with the Barcelona Dragons, playing in all 10 games, with 2 starts, working primarily at left tackle but also seeing action at guard.
Williams and the Packers reached an injury settlement after the wide receiver injured his calf in a workout on Wednesday.
