Ex-Packers middle linebacker signs with Ravens

The Baltimore Ravens Monday signed former Green Bay Packers linebacker Bernardo Harris.<p>

Harris, who will join Pro Bowlers Ray Lewis and Peter Boulware in the Ravens linebacker rotation, spent his first seven years with the Green Bay Packers.

In Green Bay, Harris started a total of 79 games, averaging more than 80 unassisted tackles over the past five years.

He was released by the Packers in February in a cost-cutting move.

"Bernardo adds a veteran presence in the middle to back up Ray [Lewis] and Edgerton [Hartwell]," said senior vice president of football operations Ozzie Newsome.
