A sign things are going well in Green Bay: The Packers wrapped up their Wednesday practice with a punt-fielding contest between the unlikely pair of defensive tackle Gilbert Brown and offensive lineman Mark Tauscher. The prize was extra time off curfew for the winner's side of the line.<p>
We'll spare you the suspense by revealing that Tauscher won with a 100 percent fielding average, but it's doubtful that Darrien Gordon is looking over his shoulder quite yet.
"Tauscher can do anything," coach Mike Sherman said. "I don't know what he can do after the catch."
Tauscher caught two punts from the machine, even after he feigned a fair-catch signal before one of them.
Brown will keep his day job on the defensive line. He missed both attempts as he let one punt sail over his head and he dropped the other one.
