Barnett practices again; Tauscher, Collins not expected to play Sunday

MLB Nick Barnett practiced for the second consecutive day with a huge club-like cast protecting his broken right hand. Barnett, who remains listed as questionable for the game, is optimistic that he will play Sunday.

Even though there were no live tackling periods in practice, Barnett thinks he and his club are ready to see some game action.

"It felt pretty good out there," the linebacker said. "I couldn't do any tackling, but I tried to stick my hand in there to see how it felt, and I think I can go out there and play.

"I think they will wait to see the film to see if I am favoring it at all, but I don't think I was. It will be up to the trainers, doctors, and coaches to make that decision."

-- FS Nick Collins has yet to practice this week and is doubtful for the game because of a right hamstring injury. Rookie Tyrone Culver has been preparing to make his first pro start.

-- CB Charles Woodson hasn't practiced the past two days because of a lingering shoulder injury and an illness. Woodson, though, is probable for the upcoming game.

-- RT Mark Tauscher remains sidelined with a pulled groin that has kept him out of the past two games. He likely will be out Sunday and replaced again by rookie Tony Moll. -- LT Chad Clifton returned to practice Thursday after being held out Wednesday because of a sore hamstring. The veteran starter is probable for Sunday.

-- TE David Martin is questionable at best to play against the Jets as he continues to rehabilitate a rib injury that sidelined him for the last game Monday night. Martin hasn't practiced this week.
