Marques Anderson's training camp diary

Editor's note: Rookie defensive back Marques Anderson is providing his thoughts on training camp in the form of a diary for He will give updates on his diary as often as possible throughout his first training camp with the Green Bay Packers.<p>

Anderson strained his left hamstring early in the Packers' first exhibition game against Philadelphia on Aug. 10. After sitting out of practice for a week, he returned Monday and has practiced all week. Here's what he had to say after practice on Saturday afternoon as the team prepared for its Monday night game against the Cleveland Browns:

"I'm definitely looking forward to Monday night's game against the Browns. Playing in Lambeau Field, all the tradition, it's been building up. I've been ready to get on the field and play in front of the home crowd. I really get to see what Lambeau Field is all about. They say they sell out games even in the preseason and they sell the regular season games there, so I'm just excited to get in there and play my first down in Lambeau Field.

"This week went well for me. I made some big plays and got back in the groove of things. Got some reps in. My hamstring is feeling a lot better. I feel like it was a very productive week for me. On Monday, you'll see me with the second-team defense behind Antuan Edwards at free safety. You'll also see me with the first-team dime defense and at the 'will' nickel (in place of strongside linebacker). I'm just ready to get in there and perform."
