Long wait is over for Wayne

The frustration of sitting on the sidelines finally ends tonight for Green Bay's Nate Wayne.<p>

The linebacker had offseason surgery to repair a torn patellar tendon in his left knee last season. His rehab was scheduled to run through the first two exhibition contests this season.

"It's been frustrating," Wayne said. "I haven't been able to play in the games and practice full speed, but that's behind me now. I'm ready to go."

Wayne suffered the knee injury late last season and sat out the final month and playoffs. He makes his return tonight on a big stage: against the Cleveland Browns at Lambeau Field on Monday Night Football.

"The butterlies haven't come just yet," Wayne said. "Those will come when I'm in the tunnel.
