Tollefson signs with Raiders

Defensive end was selected in seventh round of 2006 NFL draft by Packers

Dave Tollefson, the last of 12 Green Bay Packers draft picks in 2006, signed a free agent contract with the Oakland Raiders on Tuesday, according to the league office.

Tollefson spent the first eight weeks of the 2006 season on the team's eight-man practice squad before injuring his back in practice. He was then placed on the team's practice squad/injured list through the end of the season.

Tollefson lost out to free agent Jason Hunter in a bid to make the 53-man roster at the end of training camp. Tollefson, the 253rd overall pick of the NFL draft out of Northwest Missouri St., had 10 tackles and 1.5 sacks in the preseason and was released by the Packers on Sept. 3 before re-signing.

Tollefson is the second of the Packers' 12 picks no longer with the team. Fourth-round pick Cory Rodgers (104th overall) was waived in training camp after struggling to catch punts and kickoffs.
