Roster moves

On the eve of their final preseason tuneup, the Packers re-signed tight end Bill Seymour and waived wide receiver Kerry Hood and running back Jason Brookins.<p>

Originally, Seymour was signed as an undrafted free agent last spring, then was waived in Tuesday's mandatory cuts. The 6-3, 257-pound Michigan alum has been re-assigned jersey number 46.

Hood, a three-year starter at the University of South Carolina, had been signed as a free agent February 5, 2002, after having been in the Carolina Panthers' training camp as a rookie in 2001.

Brookins, a second-year pro and former Baltimore Raven, was waived after first being placed in reserve/left squad status Wednesday in the wake of his leaving camp Tuesday under the mistaken assumption he was about to be released.
