Packers bring back four for practice squad

Green Bay recalled signed cornerback Erwin Swiney, center Andy Eby, wide receiver Devin Lewis and tight end/running back Bill Seymour and signed them to the team's practice squad, the team announced.<p>

All four were previously placed on waivers over the weekend in the roster reduction to the NFL regular-season limit of 53 players.

A fifth and final member of the practice squad is expected to be signed today.

Swiney, a rookie free agent from Nebraska, closed out the preseason as the Packers' second-leading tackler with 19 stops, 18 of them solo. He also recorded one quarterback sack.

Seymour, a rookie from Michigan, had one catch for 22 yards. He's been cut and re-signed twice during this preseason.

Eby, a 6-3, 300-pound free agent from Kansas State, played extensively in all four preseason games in the absence of starter Mike Flanagan, sidelined by a broken thumb.

Lewis, out of Southern University, was signed only last week and played in the Packers' preseason finale against Tennessee but did not have a catch. He also played on special teams.
