Tailgate teams will be judged on creativity, team spirit and food/drink preparation. Winning tailgate teams will be awarded a trophy and will be qualified for a trip to the Jack Daniel's Ultimate Tailgate Party in San Diego on January 24-26.
This year, renowned chef Bobby Flay and former All-Pro quarterback Phil Simms will lend their tailgating expertise to the program. Flay and Simms not only will have involvement in the tailgate search and cook-off, but will also contribute facts and recipes to a Tailgate Guide due out in the fall.
The company also developed some recipes for tailgaters. Here is one for Jack's Hot Mustard Sauce - A perfect sauce for some hometown brats.
Jack's Hot Mustard Sauce
1 cup coarse-grained mustard
1 cup mayonnaise
1/4 cup Jack Daniel's Old No. 7
1/4 cup honey
1 tbsp. Tabasco sauce, or to taste
Combine all ingredients in medium bowl. Blend well. Refrigerate. Serve with chicken wings or some hometown brats.
