Glory be the Green Bay Packers are playoff bound? Excuse me but this is a team with more mechanical problems than my father's old Oldsmobile. Granted the Pack overcame both injury's and turnovers to beat the Lion's Sunday but the lingering questions of team consistency and execution remain. I place the blame squarely on Mike Sherman and his coaching staff for most of the penalties, miscommunication and lack of effort on the part of some of the Packer's. It takes a 110% effort every down and every Sunday to become a champion.
This team needs to be reminded of that with a more assertive coaching
approach and occasional kick in the butt when needed. That time is now.

WHEN IS MIKE SHERMAN GONNA STOP BEING SO CONSERVATIVE? HE ALMOST COST US THE GAME WITH A RUNNING PLAY ON THIRD AND LONG.
WHEN YOU HAVE THE BEST QUARTERBACK IN THE LEAGUE GET THE FIRST DOWN AND THE GAMES OVER.
ALSO IN WEEK 1 AGAINST ATLANTA HE CHOSE TO RUN FOUR STRAIGHT TIMES ON THE
GOAL LINE. LET FAVRE THROW THE BALL.
My take on today's game: ugly, pathetic, horrible, a joke. It's official...the Packers are vastly overrated.
Keeping the Lions in the game is inexcusable. Detroit has little talent, but the Packers made it look like it had a host of All-Pros. Play-calling stinks. Wrongley, feel free to mix in a slant, a crossing pattern, a screen or a run outside. Focus stinks. Special teams are Ortmayer-like. This team looks like Ray Rhodes is in charge. Twelve penalties? Come on. The defense couldn't stop my oldest from quarterbacking a team down field. Where's Joe Johnson? Where are the LB's? How about Edwards getting burned again??!! If Harrington's ball is just a bit shorter to the tight end at the end of the game, this one's a loss. But it shouldn't have even come down to that play. Two offside penalties on kickoffs down the stretch is unacceptable. Then, Longwell drills one straight up, giving the Lions field position at the GB 48. Unbelievable. What are the coaches thinking?
What gets me is how lackadaisical everyone looks. Where's the sense of urgency? And I tell you what else is a joke...the celebrations everyone puts on following a big play. GB isn't good enough for that kind of display. Sherman needs to put an end to that immediately.
Green Bay will be lucky to finish .500 if it continues to play as poorly as
