Favre's memorable 2003 game against Raiders part of NFL Classics series

The NFL Network will air on Thursday night the original network broadcast of the Green Bay Packers vs. Oakland Raiders 2003 Monday Night Football game on the new series, NFL Classics. The program begins at 7 p.m. (CT).

NFL Classics gives fans an opportunity to relive the Packers-Raiders game as it aired on ABC on Dec. 22, 2003. The broadcast features the original announcers, Al Michaels and John Madden.

Playing with a heavy heart following the death of his father Irvin, Brett Favre completed 22 of 30 passes for 399 yards and four touchdowns as the Packers dominated the Raiders 41-7.

Notable statistics from this game include:

* Favre's second touchdown pass, a 23-yarder to Javon Walker, moved him past Fran Tarkenton into second place on the NFL's all-time passing touchdown list.

* Favre set a Packers record recording a 154.9 quarterback rating in the victory.

* Favre passed for 311 yards and four touchdowns in the first half alone.

* The Packers scored on their first four, and five of their first six, possessions.
