Packers add another Swede to roster

Center played for Hamburg in NFL Europa last two seasons

The Green Bay Packers signed center Carl-Johan Blomvall to a free agent contract on Friday, the team announced. Blomvall joins fellow Swede, Carl-Johan Bjork, a linebacker who will remain on the team's practice squad during the 2007 season as part of the NFL International Development Practice Squad Program.

Blomvall, who has spent the last two springs playing for the Hamburg Sea Devils of NFL Europa, played two seasons at Temple University, where he served as team captain as a 2004 senior. In 2003, his junior season and first at Temple, he started all 12 games at guard.

Blomvall served in the Swedish Marine Corps, stationed in Stockholm, from December 1998 to December 1999.

Blomvall will wear No. 71. Bjork will wear No. 47.
