Brandon Miree: "It's getting better and better every day. I'm excited about possibly getting back out there."
Q: Do you think you'll play against Seattle Saturday?
BM: "Hopefully. I'm looking forward to it. As a competitor, you want to get out there and compete. So I'm definitely trying to work towards that. It's definitely a possibility that I'll play."
Q: Who is the biggest prankster at camp?
BM: "Wow. We have a few of them. I'm trying to think of the last prank, because there are so many. Every position has their prankster. The hardest to think of is ours because most of us are wisecrackers (laughs)."
Q: What is the latest prank somebody has pulled?
BM: "Oh my gosh. Some of the stuff can't be broadcast too far. But you know, the typical stuff. Rookies, especially. All of a sudden their helmet is missing, their equipment is missing. I'm not going to disclose any names, but you know the cold tub, right? It's 40 or 50 degrees. It's freezing. Well, getting taped up and dumped into the cold tub is a pretty common practice for insubordinate rookies (laughing). They get taped up with yellow duct tape and then thrown into the cold tub. That's a big one, man. You're breathing in, like rapidly (imitates quick breaths and big eyes). For your whole body to be immersed, it's hilarious."
Q: What is your favorite Will Ferrell movie?
BM: "Oh, that is incredible. Let's see. I like Old School. Old School is a classic."
Q: Favorite scene?
BM: "When Frank the Tank is finally revealed and they're like, ‘Hey! Drink this man!' And he says he has a big day at Home Depot coming up. Then he takes the drink and Frank the Tank is revealed. And when he says it ‘feels so good on my lips,' that is just hilarious. When he said that man, I just lost it! I was watching it at the movie theater and just lost it. That has to be one best movie quotes ever. I was just watching Talladega Nights last night and that is funny too."
Q: Is that something you guys do a lot in your free time, kick back and watch movies?
BM: "Oh yeah, I'll tell you what. For any NFL team with NFL players, watching movies is a key recreational activity. Movies, card games, video games, dominos. That's like the top four. And here, I couldn't believe how many people play backgammon. It's like, wow ... intellectuals! Movies are huge, though. I remember last year I went to go see Borat and the whole movie theater was filled with football players. That movie is hilarious."
Q: If you could have dinner with any five people, who would it be?
BM: "Bill Clinton, Martin Luther King ... let's go with Tupac. (Noah Herron chimes in, ‘Did you just say Martin Luther King and Tupac?!')…(laughing). In the history, wow, I'd have to say some foreign king like King Tut or something. Who's that one dude, Genghis Khan? OK. Let's go with Bill Clinton, Martin Luther King, Tupac, Malcolm X, and King David from the Bible. That's it."
Q: What is your favorite song right now?
BM: "You've heard of ‘Party like a Rockstar,' right? Well there's another song coming out called ‘Do it like my birthday.' It's almost like ‘Party like a Rockstar.' But it's like, (singing) ‘Do it like my birthday, Do it like my birthday.' Oh man, it's hilarious. It's by a guy named Sound Master T. It will be coming out [mainstream] soon."
Q: If you were commissioner for one day, what would be your first order of business?
BM: "Wow ... wow, man, for one day? We would all have a 300 percent pay raise and mandatory massages. Each one of us would have our own personal masseuse."
Q: Who is giving these massages?
BM: "(Laughing) Let's not go there!"
