Packers-Redskins: Injury update

Jennings, Morency expected to practice today; Redskins' Randle El still hurting

WR Greg Jennings
is expected to be put through a full practice today for the first time this week to test a sprained shoulder he sustained in the last game. The No. 2 receiver also has been dealing with a sore hamstring the last few weeks. The shoulder injury is cause for greater concern and could limit Jennings in the game Sunday, if not keep him on the sideline.

RG Junius Coston was added to the injury report Thursday. Coston suffered an unspecified ankle injury and was limited in practice. It's unknown whether he would be in jeopardy of not playing Sunday. Jason Spitz, Coston's top backup, will be starting at center for an injured Scott Wells. Tony Moll would be the next option at right guard.

RB Vernand Morency did not practice on Thursday to rest his right knee, but he is expected to practice today. Morency injured the patellar tendon on the first day of training camp and played in his first game Sept. 30 against Minnesota.

CB Al Harris was involved in practice, albeit on a limited basis. He's expected to practice fully Friday and be ready for Sunday, despite putting up with chronic back spasms.

CB Charles Woodson continued on his Wednesday-Thursday practice schedule of not doing much so he can recover from lingering foot and hip injuries. He should go through all phases Friday and be in the starting lineup, as usual, Sunday.

LT Chad Clifton and TE Bubba Franks were back into the swing of things after having their customary Wednesday off to rest sore knees.

WR Antwaan Randle El
didn't practice for a second straight day because of the mildly pulled hamstring he suffered last Sunday against Detroit. He's questionable for Sunday's game at Green Bay. James Thrash would likely start if Randle El can't play.

LB Marcus Washington didn't practice for a second straight day because of the moderately pulled hamstring he suffered against the Lions. He's questionable for the Packers. Randall Godfrey would start if Washington can't play.

DE Phillip Daniels didn't practice for a second straight day because of the separated right shoulder he suffered against the Lions. He's questionable for Sunday. Demetric Evans will start if Daniels can't play.

WR Santana Moss practiced for a second straight day after missing last week's game with a strained groin. Moss is expected to start at Green Bay.

FB Mike Sellers returned after missing Wednesday's workout with a bruised heel. Sellers is expected to start against the Packers.

CB Fred Smoot missed Thursday's practice with a stomach virus but is expected to be available today and play Sunday.
