Packers-Chiefs: Player notes

Injury updates, news on individuals from each team

GREEN BAY PACKERS
-- RB DeShawn Wynn was placed on season-ending injured reserve with a shoulder injury he suffered Monday night.

-- C Scott Wells was a game-day scratch Monday as he continued to deal with a sinus infection that knocked him out of the last part of last week. Wells also missed the previous game because of a fractured eye socket.

-- OL Jason Spitz started in place of Wells for the second straight game. Spitz had been preparing to regain the starting job at right guard, with Junius Coston out with a sprained ankle.

-- OL Tony Moll made his second straight start at right guard to fill the void created by Junius Coston's injury and the switch of Spitz to center.

-- TE Bubba Franks was sidelined because of a sprained knee he suffered in the previous game. Franks will be questionable to return for Sunday's contest at Kansas City.

-- DT Justin Harrell is expected to miss at least another game as he recovers from a sprained ankle sustained in practice Oct. 23.

-- DE Michael Montgomery was deactivated for the seventh time in as many games. Montgomery returned to practice on a full-time basis last week after recovering from a sprained knee suffered midway through the preseason.

KANSAS CITY CHIEFS
-- WR Eddie Kennison, who has taken only a few offensive snaps during extremely limited appearances in only two games this year, participated in individual workouts Monday. But coach Herm Edwards said Kennison has "a chance" to be ready for the Packers this week.

-- RB Priest Holmes could see about 10 to 12 touches a game now that he's back on the field after a two-year absence with a neck injury, coach Herm Edwards said. Holmes saw his first action before the bye in the win over Oakland when he had five touches -- four carries and a reception -- that produced a net 3 yards.

-- QB Damon Huard needed the bye week to recover from a list of ailments that included, but were not confined to, a sore calf, a sore groin and a sore throwing shoulder.

-- CB Ty Law, who has seen little time on the injury report in the season's first seven games, reported battling a sore back and a sore hamstring in the week leading up to the bye. Law has been playing softer coverage than earlier in his career in an attempt to keep receivers in front of him.
