Packers-Lions: Player notes

Injury updates, news on individuals from each team

-- RB Ryan Grant suffered what was classified as a mild sprain of his right ankle late in the game Sunday. Grant said afterward he expects to play Thursday at Detroit.

-- FS Nick Collins is pushing to make a speedy recovery from a sprained knee he suffered Nov. 4 and play this week. Collins, though, is considered doubtful for the game by coach Mike McCarthy.

-- TE Bubba Franks, who has missed the past four games with a sprained knee, also is doubtful to return this week. Franks resumed practicing on a limited basis last week.

-- TE Donald Lee got over the four-catch hump -- which he attained in six games this season -- with five receptions for 49 yards and two touchdowns Sunday. Lee already has career highs of 38 catches (second on the team), 458 receiving yards and four TD catches.

-- WR Koren Robinson provided juice for the kickoff-return unit with a 67-yard runback to start the second half Sunday. The return was a season long for the Packers. Robinson has played in three games since his return from a one-year suspension and is averaging 26.1 yards per kickoff return.

-- S Idrees Bashir suffered a torn ACL when he went down on the opening kickoff Sunday and was placed on injured reserve Monday.

-- DE Dewayne White, who has missed two games with a triceps injury, said he said he would do some hitting on his own Tuesday to test the strength of his elbow and see if he could be productive Thursday against Green Bay.

-- RB Kevin Jones came out of Sunday's game OK. It appears he will be ready to play Thursday despite his sore foot.

-- RT Jonathan Scott is apparently ready to return after missing two games because of a broken thumb, but it is unclear whether he will start, despite the struggles of George Foster.

-- P Nick Harris had one touchback against the Giants, but he had four punts downed inside the 20.
