Packers-Cowboys: Player notes

Injury updates, news on individuals from each team

GREEN BAY PACKERS
-- DE Aaron Kampman ascended to the top of the league's sacks list with 11 after notching two in the Thanksgiving win at Detroit. Kampman has eight sacks in the last six games.

-- TE Bubba Franks is a possibility to return to action Thursday at Dallas. Franks has missed the last five games because of a sprained knee. He has been limited in practice the past two weeks.

-- DT Justin Harrell is likely to be activated against the Cowboys, in the wake of serious injuries sustained the last two games by tackles Johnny Jolly and Colin Cole. Harrell, the team's first-round draft pick this year, has played in only two games this season and none since the middle of October.

-- LB Tracy White on Thursday aggravated an ankle injury that has bothered him the past few weeks. The key special-teams contributor was deactivated in the previous game.

-- CB Will Blackmon is progressing in his recovery from a broken foot sustained in practice in early October and could gain clearance for a return to game action in the next couple weeks.

DALLAS COWBOYS
-- RB Marion Barber rushed for 103 yards against the Jets. It was his second 100-yard game of the season and the third of his career. Barber's yardage total allowed him to set a single-season career high with 715 rushing yards thus far, surpassing his previous total of 654 from 2006.

-- LB Greg Ellis' two sacks against the Jets marked the 16th multiple-sack game of his career. He now has 8.5 sacks this season.

-- CB Terence Newman intercepted his third pass of the season against the Jets. He returned the pick 50 yards for his first career interception return for a touchdown.

-- WR Terrell Owens extended his streak of consecutive games with a receiving touchdown to six games -- tying the second-longest streak in club history with a 22-yard touchdown catch against the Jets. It also ties the longest streak of his career. His streak of four straight games with at least 100 yards receiving was snapped.

-- QB Tony Romo passed for two touchdowns against the Jets, allowing him to tie Danny White's club record of 29 set in 1983.

-- SS Roy Williams' club best streak of 90 straight starts was snapped against the Jets. He was on the bench to start the game as the Cowboys went with three cornerbacks and one safety to combat the Jets' multiple receiver set.
