Packers-Lions: Player notes

Injury updates, news on individuals from each team

GREEN BAY PACKERS
-- WR Greg Jennings will be iffy to play in the regular-season finale against Detroit on Sunday. Jennings, who leads the team with 12 touchdown catches, suffered a mild sprain of his right ankle in the fourth quarter of the 35-7 loss at Chicago on Sunday. Jennings' status for the upcoming game won't be determined until later in the week.

-- DT Ryan Pickett, who missed the last game with a strained groin, is expected to return to practice Wednesday and be ready for Sunday's contest.

-- PK Mason Crosby, with only one point in the last game, has a franchise-record-tying 131 points. Ryan Longwell set the standard in the 2000 season.

-- QB Brett Favre was held to a season-low 153 passing yards (not including the Nov. 29 game at Dallas, in which he left with injury) on 17-for-32 accuracy in the face of high winds at Chicago's Soldier Field. Favre has 4,058 passing yards this year, his fifth 4,000-yard season and first since 2004.

-- RB Ryan Grant had a 14-carry, 100-yard performance Sunday, highlighted by a personal-best 66-yard touchdown run. Grant has five 100-yard games in the last nine outings for Green Bay. He needs 101 yards Sunday to attain 1,000 for the season.

-- WR Donald Driver reached the 80-catch mark for a fourth straight season. He has a team-high 82 receptions for 1,048 yards but hasn't scored a touchdown since Week 3.

-- TE Donald Lee had only one catch for a second straight game. Lee needs two receptions Sunday to attain 50 this season.

-- QB Aaron Rodgers is questionable to be activated for the upcoming game. Favre's top backup has been relegated to the No. 3 role the last three outings because of a strained hamstring.

-- DE Aaron Kampman has been sackless in five of the last seven games. He leads the team with 12 sacks but has generated only four since a three-sack performance at Denver on Oct. 29.

-- MLB Nick Barnett was credited with a game-high 11 tackles Sunday against Chicago, his ninth double-digit output this season.

DETROIT LIONS
-- QB Jon Kitna is not finishing strong. He threw five interceptions Dec. 16 at San Diego. He threw only one Sunday against Kansas City, but it was a bad one. And he finished with 115 passing yards, his second-lowest total of the season.

-- RB T.J. Duckett will start Sunday in place of Kevin Jones, who is out with a torn ACL. Duckett had 15 carries for 102 yards and a touchdown against the Chiefs.

-- WR Calvin Johnson lined up incorrectly at first for the Lions' first offensive play Sunday. He had big catches back-to-back -- one for 21 yards, then one for 26 -- but he didn't catch a ball the rest of the game.

-- WR Shaun McDonald continues to be a favorite target of Kitna and offensive coordinator Mike Martz. He had only two catches Sunday, but no one had more than that.

-- TE Sean McHugh has become almost a non-factor as a receiver, except for the Dec. 9 game against Dallas, when he suddenly became a go-to guy. He had no catches Dec. 16 at San Diego. He had one catch for seven yards Sunday.

-- DT Shaun Rogers had two sacks Sunday, after recording none during the Lions' six-game losing streak. He does have a career-high 6.5 sacks this season.

-- DT Cory Redding recorded his first sack of the season. He had eight in his last 11 games last year and landed a big contract.

-- LB Paris Lenon returned an interception 61 yards for a touchdown. It was the second interception of his career and his first TD.

-- LB Boss Bailey has a career-high 3.5 sacks.

-- K Jason Hanson is the sixth player in NFL history to kick 100 field goals from 40-49 yards. He is the second with 100 from that range and 30 from 50 yards or more. Morten Andersen is the other.
