Injury updates, news on individuals from the Green Bay Packers

-- QB Aaron Rodgers said on a Green Bay TV show Wednesday night that he would be ready to back up Brett Favre in the first playoff game Jan. 12. Rodgers was deactivated as the No. 3 quarterback the last four games because of a strained hamstring.

-- SS Atari Bigby on Thursday was named the NFC Defensive Player of the Month for December. The first-year starter tied for the league lead with four interceptions in the month and finished the regular season with a team-high five picks.

-- CB Charles Woodson isn't expected to participate in the bye-week practices Friday and Saturday, as the team gives the veteran starter more time to rest a chronically sore toe. Woodson, who was held out of the regular-season finale, will be ready for the first playoff game.

-- CB Will Blackmon, who assumed the nickel-back role down the stretch, aggravated an injury to his right foot in the last game. The team is hopeful, though, that Blackmon will practice at the end of this week and be available for the first playoff game.

-- FB Korey Hall, who missed the last two games because of a hip injury, could be ready to resume practicing by the end of the week and return to game action for the playoff opener.
