Cornerback Erwin Swiney probably doesn't bother to unpack his bags anymore. After being cut -- again -- Oct. 22, Swiney is back on the practice squad after re-signing with the Pack Wednesday.<p>
Swiney, a rookie free agent from the University of Nebraska
was re-signed to the practice squad on Sept. 9. Signed initially by the Packers on April 26, 2002, he had been waived in the final mandated roster reduction to the regular season squad and then spent a short initial stint on Green Bay
's practice squad (Sept. 2-4). The 6-foot, 192-pound Swiney closed out the preseason as the Packers' second-leading tackler with 19 stops, 18 solo, and posted one quarterback sack.
Swiney was elevated to the active roster Oct. 12, waived Oct. 15, signed to the practice squad Oct. 17, before the latest cut Oct. 22.
