The Falcons have had their share of ups and downs as they prepared to meet the Packers at Lambeau Field Saturday.<P>

The Falcons announced that they have placed FB Bob Christian on injured reserve and signed DT Ryan Watson from the practice squad to the 53-man roster to replace him.

Christian suffered a concussion in the third quarter of the Detroit game on December 22. He left the field on a cart under his own power and was taken to a nearby hospital for observations. He was determined to have a Grade Two concussion.

It was the second time in 2002 that Christian suffered a concussion. His first was vs. Carolina on October 20.

Head coach Dan Reeves said at the time of Christian's injury that he would be out of action for 2-4 weeks.

Watson, 6-2, 291 pounds, was originally signed as a rookie free agent by Tennessee out of Appalachian State last spring. He was waived by Tennessee prior to the start of the regular season. He joined the Falcons practice squad on Oct. 15.

"It's a lot colder now than it was then. I think I've probably embellished those stories just like everybody else has. I think it was a 90-yard touchdown pass that I threw. It gets better as the years go along. But they still won. That doesn't change." -- Falcons coach Dan Reeves, who threw a 50-yard option TD pass for Dallas 35 yards ago in the Ice Bowl game won by Green Bay at Lambeau Field.
