Driver will swing for fences Sunday

The second annual Donald Driver Charity Softball Game will feature Greg Jennings, Nick Collins, Aaron Kampman and Charles Woodson, among others.

Donald Driver is in fantastic shape, as usual. And for good reason.

The second Donald Driver Charity Softball Game will be played on Sunday at Time Warner Cable Field in the Appleton suburb of Grand Chute. Driver will be swinging for the fences.

"I've got to hit a home run," Driver told Packer Report last week. "I bulked up a little bit more and got bigger so I could hit some home runs. A lot of people are saying I ain't hit home runs in the last two years, so I've got to put one out of the park."

A sponsors game is set for 11 a.m., followed by a home run derby at noon and the game at 1 p.m.

Tickets start at $10, with reserved seats at $20 and box seats at $30. Proceeds will benefit the Donald Driver Foundation, which aims to help homeless families and address the issues of a lack of quality education in our communities. The foundation's motto is "Strong Hands, Strong Minds, Loving Hearts." Through donations, service projects and social activities, the foundation has helped families in need in Green Bay, Appleton, throughout Wisconsin and in Driver's hometown of Houston.

Last year's game — in which Driver replaced Brett Favre as host — raised more than $125,000. The defense won 23-21.

The rosters:

Offense — Matt Flynn, Brandon Jackson, Duke Preston, Josh Sitton, Tony Moll, Allen Barbre, Donald Driver, Bettina Driver, Ruvell Martin, Greg Jennings, Donald Lee, Jermichael Finley and James Jones.

Defense — Mason Crosby, Charles Woodson, Pat Lee, Jarrett Bush, Al Harris, Nick Collins, Nick Rouse, Joshua Abrams, A.J. Hawk, Desmond Bishop, Nick Barnett, Brett Goode and Aaron Kampman.
