Florida State vs. Miami.
There used to not be a bigger regular-season game in college football. When these two former Goliaths square off on Monday night, only one sure-fire first-round prospect will be on display.
Perhaps that's why only eight NFL teams will have scouts in attendance tonight, according to Scout.com draft analyst Chris Steuber. The Packers will be one of those teams.
The marquee player is Florida State cornerback Patrick Robinson.
"At 5-foot-11, 195 pounds, Robinson has the size/speed combination that scouts desire and the potential to be a shutdown corner at the next level," Steuber said. "He has great agility, transitions well with receivers and closes fast on the ball. He's instinctive and diagnoses the action well. A true playmaker and a player quarterbacks avoid to throw towards. He's coming off of a hip injury, which limited him to playing just eight games last season. He had a breakout '07 season where he had six interceptions, but recorded just one last year."
Other pro prospects tonight are:
Miami: Darryl Sharpton, MLB; Javarris James, RB; Jason Fox, OT; Eric Moncur, DE/OLB; Dedrick Epps, TE; Randy Phillips, FS; Matt Bosher, K; Allen Bailey, DT; Graig Cooper, RB; Demarcus Van Dyke, CB; Orlando Franklin, OG; JoJo Nicolas, FS.
Florida State: Patrick Robinson, CB; Dekoda Watson, OLB; Jamie Robinson, FS; Kendrick Stewart, DT; Budd Thacker, DT; Caz Piurowski, TE; Rodney Hudson, OG; Kendall Smith, MLB; Markus White, DE; Ryan McMahon, C; Christian Ponder, QB.
